Four Types Of Bedroom Closet
Clothes are personal items so it is only natural for one to keep it inside the bedroom. The reason for this is for you to easily access your clothes as well as maintain privacy. Just because your clothes are supposed to be inside your bedroom doesn't mean it has to be on the bed, or on the nightstand. Clothes are supposed to be placed inside the closet and not somewhere else.
Yes, it is indeed hard to imagine a room without a closet because the closet is one of the basic bedroom furniture. Clothes are not the only items you can place inside the closet but also shoes, bags, belts and many other fashion accessories. Just like the bed, closets have different types too and some of them are briefly discussed below.
1. Walk-in closets. Who's not familiar with this type? Well, although not every bedroom can have this type of closet, it is still pretty popular. Walk-in closets do require a large amount of space. Some of these closets are as big as the bedroom itself. This type is ideal for those who have a lot of floor space in their bedroom and must possess a lot clothes and other wardrobe items like shoes, belts, bags and many more.
This closet is constructed to look more or less like a room with racks and drawers on all four walls where you can hang all your clothes and store other items. Most walk-in closets have doors and a counter table at the center. The counter table at the middle possesses a number of drawers some of which are made especially to hold jewelries and other minute fashion accessories.
2. Wall-mounted closet. Who does not have this type of closet in their bedroom? If you ask anyone, they will surely answer you that the type of closet they have is the wall mounted closet. This the most common type of closet and almost every bedroom has this type of closet. Wall mounted closets are way smaller than walk-in closets although they can be as wide as the whole span of the wall. Like many closets, wall mounted closets have racks and drawers too. Judging by the name itself wall-mounted closets are attached to the wall. This type may have sliding doors as enclosure.
3. Corner Closet. This type of closet is ideal for small bedrooms. This closet is usually built on the corner of the room where it takes less space as possible. Corner closets have racks and drawers, spaces where you can store you wardrobe and other items.
4. Reach-in Closet. This type of closet is ideal for people who are always on the go. The reach-in closet doesn't have any doors meaning you can simply reach in and get the item that you need and you are ready to go. Like the rest of the types, this closet also has racks and drawers for storage spaces.
When picking or constructing a closet, always keep in mind the number of items you are going to place in it as well as the size of your bedroom.
